Yeeping Chin

Yeeping Chin (also known as Eva Chin) was born on September 20, 1929, in Hong Kong. She was the daughter of Lee Xiusheng and Tam Choi Kam, and had two brothers and two sisters.

Her education was interrupted by World War II, but in 1945 she graduated from Taichung Middle School. Soon after, a friend introduced her to Chin Zhenxuan (James Chin). They married and moved to the United States, settling in Nebraska.

Yeeping and James welcomed their first daughter, Diana, in 1948, followed by a second daughter, Doris, in 1949, and a son, Terry, in 1950. She became a U.S. citizen in 1955.

The family later moved to California, living first in Sacramento, then in San Jose, and eventually returning to Sacramento, where Yee Ping passed away on May 14, 2025.

She was a devoted member of Chinese Grace Bible Church and was known for her kindness and strong faith. Yee Ping was a loving mother of three, a proud grandmother of seven, and a cherished great-grandmother of six. Her legacy of love, perseverance, and grace will live on through all who knew and loved her.
