Sandy Hom

Sandy Hom, 87, of Sacramento, CA passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her presence will be deeply missed.

Sandy was born in Binjai, Indonesia, on May 2, 1939. She was married to John Hom in 1961. They had two children, May and Ken. The family emigrated to the United States in 1971. Sandy worked at various seasonal jobs throughout her life, retiring from Blue Diamond Almond Growers in 2016.

Sandy lived a life filled with love and happiness with many friends, both in Sacramento and around the world. She loved to travel, tend to her garden, and, above all, cherish the moments spent with her family and grandchildren.

Sandy is survived by her son, Ken (Shelley); her daughter May (Greg) Hunte; and her beloved grandchildren: Nicholas, Allison, Jessica and Samantha. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 61 years, John Hom.

A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held at St Mary’s, 6509 Fruitridge Rd, Sacramento, CA 95820, on July 26, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
