Alice C. Macias

Our beloved mother left us on March 28, 2024 to be with her family in Heaven. She leaves behind 4 daughters, Julie (Dave), Patricia (Joe), Hope (Bill), Leah (Jeff), and one son Paul (Denise). She is survived by her beloved older brother, Robert. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Alice was a longtime Sacramento resident, having attended St. Joseph’s Elementary and then St. Joseph’s Academy. Upon graduation, she had her first job at the Sacramento Army Depot, where she worked as a purchasing agent. She worked briefly as a relay operator for Sprint until she passed the State Exam. Alice worked for the State of California as an office technician until she retired at the age of 75.
Alice enjoyed sewing, crocheting, jewelry making (especially rosary beads), baking and cooking. Most of all, she enjoyed family gatherings; her family was most important.
Alice spent her last year at Atria Carmichael Oaks, where she flourished, making many new friends late in life. She was known as the “Bingo Queen” as she always won.
We are blessed to have had her in our lives. She maintained her wit and sense of humor, telling us cute jokes and reminiscing about good times. Alice was rich in faith and took great comfort in God’s arms.
