Edith DeMorales

Edith F. DeMorales, 92, died of natural causes on February 4, 2025 in her home in Sacramento, California. She died peacefully in her sleep with family and friends by her side.

She is survived by her son Robert DeMorales (Ione), daughter Florence Lemieux (John); granddaughters Lauren Lemieux, April Lopez (Lance) and Caitlin Martinez (Evaristo “Tito”); and great grandsons, Benicio Martinez-DeMorales and Adrian Martinez-Flores.

She was born on July 15, 1932 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Emilie Beimes and her older brother, Eugene “Bugsy” Beimes. She was married to Albert DeMorales, who passed away on January 10, 2022. They moved to Sacramento, California in 1955 to raise their family.

Edith enjoyed cooking, annual trips to Hawaii to visit family and friends, spending time with her grandchildren and listening to Hawaiian music.

Gravesite services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 2pm at St. Mary Cemetery located at 6700 21st Avenue (northeast corner of 65th Street and Fruitridge Road) Sacramento, California.
