George “PT Grumpy” Hoover
With deep sadness the family shares the death of George Daniel Hoover (b. August 13,1942) who died peacefully on Sunday December 18, 2022 with his beloved wife, Beverly and Shih Tzu Malli by his side
George was born in Sacramento California and attended Sacramento High School where he met the love of his life and wife for 58 years Beverly (Luchini). George and Beverly have two sons Todd and Michael
He worked tirelessly and enjoyed a long- standing commitment to his career serving the Sacramento City Unified School District
George had a heart of gold and loved Fishing. He also enjoyed building and modifying full- sized and model collectible automobiles. For several years he and Beverly were devoted to the regional PT Cruiser club where they traveled with the club proudly displaying his and hers beautifully modified Cruisers.
He will always be remembered for his devotion to his wife and family. His limitless ingenuity, his sense of humor and compassionate and generous spirit.
George is survived by his wife Beverly Hoover, sons Michael Hoover, Todd Hoover, Daughter-in-law Lissa Hoover, Sister Mamie Gibson of Texas His sister-in-law Arlene Gianatasio, several nieces and nephews and is predeceased by his Mother, Mary Bulatovich Green.
