James Andrew Kessler, best known as Jim, beloved husband, father, brother, grampa, and papa passed away on March 31st, 2024, at the age of 88. Jim is survived by his wife Charlene, his children Vicki, Kari, and Rick, siblings Gladys, Virginia, and John, niece, and nephews, along with his adoring and devoted seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Jims family brought him great pride and joy!

Jim was born in Sacramento, CA on February 19th, 1936, to Geb and Esther Kessler. A lifelong and proud resident of Sacramento, Jim graduated from C.K. McClatchy High School. He worked for his family’s dairy business “Union Dairy”, which they later sold to Crystal Dairy where he continued to work as a milkman into the early 80’s. Jim later moved on to working for a locally owned hydraulics shop. Years later Jim opened a shop of his own and was the proud owner of AAA Hydraulics. Not long after retirement Jim, forever on the go and a social butterfly, decided to go back to work and found a fulfilling job working for Signature Graphics & Printing as a delivery driver. He enjoyed being able to stay active and continue to make new friends and chat it up with everyone he met.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Geb and Esther Kessler, and stepdaughter LeAnne DeRosa.

Jim was known for and will forever be remembered for his great sense of humor and quick wit, he seemed to always have a giddiness about him with a mischievous twinkle in his eye to match, boundless energy and strong work ethic, love of old cars, the ability to make a friend everywhere he went, and his devotion, care, and love for those he held closest to his heart.

We are so grateful to have such wonderful, fun, and silly memories spent together. There was never a dull moment with you in a room, never ending laughter and joy! Those memories and your love are what will carry us through the moments of missing you. We love you so much!!
