Karen DeYoung

At age 68, Karen died peacefully on August 23, 2022. Karen was born June 16, 1954 in Sacramento, California and has been a resident of Sacramento for her whole life.

Karen is survived by her husband Frank DeYoung of 44 years and her two Childern: Heather DeYoung, Kyle DeYoung and Daughter-Law Michelle Perez- DeYoung and as well as, her Sister Nancy Reuter and brother Glenn Tsukiji, and grandchildren Karen Rebollar, Edwin Rebollar Micah DeYoung, and Elias Perez.

Karen’s legacy is in the giving of herself to her husband, children and grandchildren. Karen loved to cook and always looked forward to family gatherings. We will miss her, but our joyful memories live on forever. Karen retired from the California Department of Justice in 2009 so she could spend more time with her grandchildren. She loved cooking their favorite things to eat. Her voice and spirit will be deeply missed.
