Raymond Peyronel

Raymond Peyronel, born February 20, 1930 in New Jersey and passed away peacefully on Pearl Harbor Day after a brief illness, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in New Jersey, Rancho Cordova was home for the last 52 years. Ray is survived by 10 children, Linda Hewett (Greg), Sharon (late Richard Moore), Kelly Ballard (Rick), Raymond Francis, Robert, Debra, Pauline, Suzanne, Alexander (Alison), and Patricia, 15 loving grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 13 nieces and nephews in Canada, Texas, and Florida.

Preceded by his wife of 36 years, Shirley (nee Lush), and wife of 29 years, Sharon (nee McInturf), his son Richard, and his brother Aldo and his parents Alexander and Pauline.

Raymond served his nation in uniform in the US Air Force from 1950 – 1969 as a Weather Electronics Technician and was stationed in Panama, New York, Mississippi, Massachusetts, Illinois, New Jersey, Newfoundland, Canada and Japan.

Five of his children and two grandsons followed in his footsteps and proudly served in the US military. After he retired from the Air Force, he continued to serve his country as a member of the civil service at McClellan AFB. One of his fondest memories of his service was letting his children help release the helium weather balloons when he was stationed in Newfoundland.

Ray loved to travel and all 11 children inherited his great love.

He will be buried with his wife Shirley, mother of his eleven children.
