Vivian Melody

Age 97 years young. Born April 16, 1925 in San Jose to James and “Tessie” Murphy and passed away on July 31, 2022 in Sacramento, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Melody, brother Jerry Murphy and sister Elaine Moretti.
Growing up with her brother Jerry and twin sisters Elaine and Eileen in the San Francisco area, she met and married Robert on September 8th, 1951 and they were blessed with three children, Robert, Jeannie and Stephen. Vivian held a position at The Hibernia Bank in San Francisco and was an Administrative Assistant for Citizens Savings Bank on Freeport Blvd. in Sacramento where she experienced an armed robbery before retiring. Robert and Vivian’s love of travel took them all around the world and eventually they enjoyed taking their grandchildren, Jillian, Taylor, Trevor, Jacquelyn, Alexis, and Christian on many cruises and trips to Europe, Alaska, the Caribbean, Disneyland and always Maui. Vivian enjoyed playing cards with her grandchildren, playing the “slots” and organized many family get togethers and bbq’s around the pool in her home in Greenhaven, where she lived for over 50 years.
